Street Art
Benalla has become one of Australia's leading Street Art destinations because of our "Wall to Wall Festival", and it attracts a substantial number of visitors each year.
From the Enjoy Benalla website:
Established in 2015, Wall to Wall Festival provides the regional township of Benalla, and its visitors, the chance to see the latest street art offering, painted live during a weekend of experiences as world-class artists paint – wall to wall – the end result providing an ever-changing artistic landscape.
Wall to Wall has quickly established itself as Australia’s largest regional mural festival with works of over 70 world-class artists including local talent in Rone, Adnate, Kitt Bennett, Kaff-eine plus international guests including Insane 51 (Greece), Elle (USA), Caratoes (Bel), Akid1 (Malaysia), Lucy Lucy (France) and many more making their mark – at least until the next coat.
During the annual paint, visitors enjoy experiences including exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, walking tours, film, VR experiences, music events and more.
Wall to Wall and its community’s commitment to art, ensures a year round opportunity to take a roady. Kick off the silo trail in nearby Goorambat, visit the nature reserves of Winton Wetlands, stop by the Benalla Art Gallery or drop into the pop-up shop for collectors merch, designed annually by a selection of headline artists.
The next festival is 3 – 5 April 2020. Program announced in early 2020.
